Owandy Radiology Inc., a global manufacturer of hardware and imaging software for dental radiology, recently received FDA clearance 510 (k) for use in its I-Max 2D Wall Mount Panoramic Digital Radiography Camera unit. The company will be showcasing I-Max 2D at the upcoming Grand New York Dental Conference booth 4419.
According to Boris Loyez, spokesman for Owandy Radiology, “We conducted a thorough rethinking of the future panoramic unit and proposed the I-Max wall-hung concept, which is setting the stage for tomorrow’s pot unit.”
I-Max 2D is said to provide the perfect balance of value and functionality. E.g:
The lightest wall-hung digital panoramic unit on the market is fully assembled and can be easily installed in tight spaces that were previously under-utilized.
It is reported that the Automatic Layer Integration System (ALI-S) ensures excellent image quality and automatically selects the best image.
Twenty-four programs (both adult and child versions) are designed to make the full range of exams required for today’s dental practice.
Includes an intuitive, user-friendly program interface.
Loyez said: “We are excited about FDA approval and we look forward to demonstrating affordable, high-performance I-Max 2D at the Greater New York Dental Conference.
Since GNYDM is the last major dental conference of the year, this may be the last chance the dentist can utilize the 179 tax credit when buying any Owandy Radiology unit.
